Holy colorwash, Batman!

I finally decided to cut into my Sunshine fabrics. I know that when all your fabrics are from one line the result can be muted because the colors blend into one another. But, I wasn't prepared for this:

As yardage, the blues seemed to be distinct from each other, but when I cut them up into tiny pieces and sewed them back together they just got lost in each other.

So, I remade the block and I like this better.

On a side note, this is what happened when I first tried to take a photo of the blue block. Silly kitty.

I agree with you on the blue fabric. I have the charm pack of that line of fabric and when I tried to put them together in a project I didn't like the way it looked. I think your cat has the right idea about the block. It should make a good cusion for him to sit on.

The blue fabrics sure did blend together. I really like that Sunshine line - I have a couple of pieces of it. And the cat likes it very much as well :))

lol, kitty just didn't want you to stress over how the blue blended together. I like the remade block better.

I am also a country girl at heart, I live in the city as that were my work and DH are.

Blue and yellow are a favorte color combo..........I really like that block.

How do cats know that they are supposed to sit on the quilt blocks? I see so many pics on blogs of cats and quilts, same thing happens here all the time. Its like the cat thinks you are doing that just for them! (and of course, you are! LOL)

Blue and yellow are so great together (that's what my living room is) -- sunny and warm.

I was amazed to see what happened with your first block! I would never have guessed the blues would blend together like that. You'd think fabric designers would take that into consideration when they make a line.

I think cats have magnets on their behinds that draws them to quilty things - lol ! Mine do exactly the same thing. I always know which one of the three is the guilty party by the colour of the hair they leave. These are lovely fabrics.

Those blues really do blend...I like your new version with the yellow.
My cat will do the same thing, sit where I've put my fabric. They are so smart.

I like your re-made block much better than the one you did first, but it looks like Kitty likes it anyway!

I love the second block -- but am really partial to yellow and blue. As to the kitty -- well, didn't you make that block just for kitty to be comfy and sit on? ;-)
