This is exactly why I love living in the country. A gorgeous day, 66 degrees, lots of sun! We picked some yummy Cortlands and Jonathans. Now for some quilting.
HI JoAnna, Welcome to the midwest, I'm in easter WI, and we really aren't normal here, it's just that compared to everywhere else we seem that way! ;-) Nice apples~ I can't wait to see your Bering sea, I LOVE the kitty wall hanging and I CANNOT BELIEVE those quilt shop ladies said all that! where are they? I'll beat them with a fat quarter for you! And top them off with a jelly roll!
I'm a new resident of the midwest. After living in DC for a few years I am looking forward to being in an area where people are calm, friendly and...normal. Like all quilt addicts and fabriholics, I love looking at other quilter's work....UFOs, WIPs, and just purchased fabrics. I hope this blog will introduce me to a new community of quilters.

I picked an apple for the first time this summer, it was in Denmark. They don´t grow here except in greenhouses.
Oh, I love Jonathans. The best of all for pies in my opinion as they keep their shape in the crust and don't turn mushy.
