Pepper top done!


This is by far the loudest quilt I have ever, ever done. It's a bit shocking, really. I had a bit of trouble with the borders because I am not very smart and kept messing up the math. New rule: calculate twice, cut once. The pattern is Caribbean Nights by Barbara Persing from the January 2006 Fons and Porter. Here is a close-up of some of the fabrics:

Oh, very nice! Don't apologize for bright, some of us really like it! I sent the Caribbean Nights pattern to a friend to use with some Hawaiian prints she'd picked up on vacation. It's very adaptable and fun. Good way to hang your quilt for a photo.

Think we'll have Mexican for dinner tonight...

Yes it is loud but in a good way, it looks really great, the colors fit so nicely together.
